Everything you need to get the most out of Kinroot—your household operating system for parents

Getting Started

Create Child Profiles

Start by adding your children. Each child gets a color that helps you organize events, meals, and activities.

  1. Go to the Children page
  2. Click Add Child
  3. Fill in their name, age, and choose a color
  4. Optionally add medical info (allergies, medications)
  5. Save and repeat for each child
Add Your First Event

Keep track of appointments, activities, and special events—all color-coded by child.

  1. Open the Calendar page
  2. Click Add Event
  3. Enter event details (title, date, time, location)
  4. Select which child it's for (or leave blank for personal events)
  5. The event will automatically use your child's color
Plan Your Meals

End the 5pm "what's for dinner?" panic with weekly meal planning and auto-generated shopping lists.

  1. Go to Meals to see your weekly planner
  2. Click any meal slot to add a meal
  3. Build your meal library with favorites
  4. Generate shopping lists from your meal plan
  5. Track what you've purchased and save receipts
Find Your Village

Connect with other parents nearby who understand what you're going through.

  1. Complete your Village Profile
  2. Browse parents in your area on Discover
  3. Send connection requests to parents you'd like to know
  4. Once connected, message them directly
  5. Plan playdates, carpools, or just vent about the day

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my children use Kinroot?

No. Kinroot is designed exclusively for you, the parent. Children profiles are data entries that you create and manage—like calendar events or tasks. Children do not have accounts, cannot log in, and never access the platform.

Is my location shared publicly?

Never. We use "fuzzy geolocation" to protect your privacy. Your exact address is never collected. For Village Network, we only show your city/state and approximate distance (randomized within ~3 miles). Other users cannot determine your exact location.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time with no penalties or fees. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. To cancel, go to Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All your data (profile, children, events, meals, tasks, messages) is immediately deleted. Some data may remain in backups for up to 30 days, then it's gone forever. We recommend exporting your data before deleting your account.

Do you sell my data?

Absolutely not. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is yours. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I report inappropriate behavior in Village Network?

If you encounter harassment, inappropriate content, or other violations of our community guidelines, contact us immediately at support@kinroot.com. Include the username and details of the incident. We take safety seriously and will investigate promptly.
